The original Zodiac Group was created in France in 1932 and consisted of 12 collectors who each sponsored Salvador Dalí for one month of the year. In exchange, each patron received a work produced by Dalí during that month. To honor Zodiacs for their devotion to the arts, Dalí held an annual feast and private auction in his studio for the group.

The Zodiac Group was reformed at the Salvador Dali Museum in 1996. In the spirit of the original founders, today's members support the museum by hosting annual events that combine art and entertainment.

Net proceeds from these events provide unrestricted support to address the museum's most pressing needs. Zodiac members also convene at select Bay area restaurants for a monthly Z-Feast to enjoy fun, food and discounts.

Highlights of the Zodiac calendar include the Z-Grapes Wine Tasting, the annual Martini Party, and the Musical Chairs Dinner where guests participate in surreal parlor games.
